Residents in Indigo have access to a shareable community electric vehicle, a truck for moving small items, picking up plants, furniture, or other items. Our hope is this will inspire some residents in Indigo to give up the environmental and financial cost of a second car, which some estimates put at $12,000 a year. All residents will enjoy some complimentary time with this EV on move-in. Reserve your time with the vehicle using the Envoy Mobility app.
The ConnectSmart team has partnered with the Indigo to provide a private Indigo carpool group in the ConnectSmart Mobility app, so Indigo residents can match with each other for rides. Residents just need to go to the carpool page, search for the Indigo group, and request to join. Once they are in, residents can schedule a carpool to be matched with another resident going somewhere along their route or do an instant carpool for a preplanned ride. They can also join public carpool groups around town, or use the app for navigation for transit, cycling, or walking—all while earning rewards for doing so! At Indigo, we've taken special care to make sure that we've integrated as much safe connectivity as possible for our residents to get around on foot, bike, or whatever wheels keep you rolling—without getting into your car. Our streets and sidewalks are designed with your safety and wellbeing in mind, with narrower roads, rear garages with private alleys, wider sidewalks, and plenty of shade spots and rest stops for pedestrians. Prefer to stay off the main streets? Our network of mews are people-first, car-free green spaces where kids can play and friends and family can gather, winding through our entire community. Within them you'll find plenty of trails to follow, plus IndiGolf holes to keep you active. And of course, Indigo Lake is perfect for a walk or ride through nature.
